Focus

Focusing on the good things can be difficult, and daunting according to whatever struggles one faces. Since life is life and we can’t change some things then it is inevitable that it is learned early to think on what is beautiful and what is good in life. It is not a way of escape, but a way to recognize that life is fragile and the sweetness must be enjoyed even if it is in the everyday mundane.   So, I take my daily sweet peas. Some tiny little goodness that I may find wrapped in life’s surprises that are waiting to be recognized.    This was the very first post, and  there were some surprises. All of you!  I’m amazed at the talent, beauty, and goodness that I found in fellow bloggers.  Every blogger that I follow  has added something of value, and then some.  Thanks to you for making the journey of focus a much easier quest!

Tromp Through the Woods

It was fun to tromp through the woods,  and I hope you enjoy the results.   I didn’t intend to leave the date on the photos so just ignore.

Fungi Art

The result of coyotes hunting!

The deer love this creek.

This tree is too gorgeous for words!

Tree is barely hanging on it seems….no it has been like that for years!

Time to go home. It is that or stay in the woods with the panthers and coyotes…home sounds good!

I ask you does it matter?

English: Burning Red Candle Deutsch: Brennende...

Image via Wikipedia

I ask you does it matter

That I lit a candle bright

Even if the flame lights only

A corner of the night?

I ask you what if someone

With no will to shine

Takes strength from my

Single flame…such a feeble sight,

Doesn’t that mean that

My tiny being…solitary

In  power…. theoretically

Gives over and over again…

While the next flame gives

Away what it has gained

And on and on it catches

Multitudes of flame?

Logically the dim corner

Should become a room

Chandelier lit,  just for fun at noon,

But at night the bright shine sings…

Out of the windows

Catching a still life of dusty rose

Does it matter that such insignificance

Dared to shine at all?  ….I think so.
